






Paint tools are ecologically cleaned via the following processes:
Consists of placing the part in sand inside a special tank and heating the sand to between 300 and 420 ºC.
On doing this, the sand begins to move and paint remains are gradually removed from the part by friction.
When paint contains components which may prove harmful to the environment, this system is used to ensure that no volatile compounds are emitted: the oven is kept at a constant temperature of 400 ºC, which rises to 900 ºC for 2 seconds in the After-burn Chamber.
ISMEX uses shot-blasting and sand-blasting to clean paint tools which, due to their properties, cannot be exposed to high temperatures.
This technique is performed in booths in which duly-equipped operators use compressors which blast metal or sand particles depending on the part in question.
This work involves maintaining, changing and aligning parts on, and repairing customers’ tools.
Cryogenic cleaning uses DRY ICE (solid Carbon Dioxide) and compressed air.
